Every year here at South Beach Boxing, we host a competition called “South Beach Boxing Fittest”.
Our members get to compete against each other (AND mainly themselves) in a FUN, SUPER ENGAGING, INTENSE competition!
We are a REAL gym with REAL people & REAL results. This competition was far from easy. SUPER challenging yet we knew our members would overcome this challenge.
2 hours length of competition.
25 min warm up. (Light Cardio, Stretching)
10 min brake.. Explanation of rules and reasons for disqualification during participation in competition. (Keeping the right form and speed in every exercise AND full range of motion).
First Challenge: Push Ups. (How many Push Ups in 1 minute) Rules: correct form, full extension or arms, chest must touch judge fist. (Explanation of correct form, doing exercise wrong leads to disqualification. Taking a break or incorrect form leads to disqualification)
Second Challenge: Squats. (last man standing. Rules: Correct form in performing squad..(Explanation of correct form – Doing exercise wrong leads to disqualification, taking a break or doing half squats leads to disqualification.)
Third challenge: Burpees. (5 min round, last man standing. Rules: correct form performing the burpee. (Explanation of form- Taking brake or doing exercise wrong leads to disqualification.)
Fourth Challenge: Plank. (How long you can hold plank (elbows… (Explanation of correct form – Doing exercise wrong leads to disqualification.)
Fifth Challenge: Static Wall sit. (How long you can stay in wall sit). (Explanation of correct form, doing exercise wrong leads to disqualification.)
Sixth Challenge: Man Makers. (5 min round, last man standing. Rules: Correct form in performing Man Makers.(Explanation of correct form – Doing exercise wrong leads to disqualification, taking a break or doing half exercise leads to disqualification.)
Seventh Challenge: One Mile Run. (Fastest time)
5 min rest time between challenges.
Here at South Beach Boxing we host these events to test out our members because we are truly COMMITTED to their transformation.
We love to see progress and we are committed to getting our members STRONGER, FITTER, FASTER, BETTER…..ALWAYS!
& it doesn’t matter how old you are.
We want to thank our members for doing such an amazing job. Pushing themselves to the limits & making the event WAY more than what we expected.
Our three champions from the event were Jose Mayen (middle & 1st place), Amine Chadli (right & 2nd place), Jacquelyn Fernandez (left & 3rd place – our last Wo-MAN standing).
They did a phenomenal job! Motivating each other to keep going; AND, going past what they thought was their limit.
