I started gaining an interest in boxing as a youth. I’ve grown up watching the sport, but didn’t start to incorporate it into my fitness program until I started taking boxing classes at NYSC 10 years ago. My main sport was baseball, but I began to compete in amateur boxing out of curiosity, and for discipline, which I lacked. I fought close to 2 dozen bouts in and around NYC and was successful in my run. I still train with most of my workouts designed around the sport. In taking bouts, I learned fighters have to have a strong core, muscle memory, and the will to not give up under the most grueling conditions. So staying in tiptop shape is something I strive for always & I do that through boxing. When I came aboard South Florida Boxing I was a member and then a trainer. I remember how fun it was to train under a group setting and how much you can progress in your output under the right motivation. I try to give members who never want to engage in combat, the same benefits a competing fighter training for an upcoming bout would have. I still have major aspirations to compete again, and I will, as well as help members get in the best shape possible under the best boxing gym in Miami Florida… SOUTH BEACH BOXING.
