Sebastian Monsalve says……. I have always wanted to learn how to take care of my body; because this is something that I never really did. Every time I would go to any gym I never got what I needed. Gyms to me were like a judgement zone. I enjoy running, doing cardio, & playing soccer. I never had a routine when it came to working out, and ever since I started coming here I found myself getting into a routine. I even find myself leaving certain bad habits, because I know how it would affect me in the long run, now that I am really enjoying this sport. I was gifted a holiday card that allowed me to try the gym for a month. My friend who gave it to me has been coming here for years, and she told me she really enjoys it & that I had to try it. It took me about two weeks to come to the gym & ever since that first class, I have never looked back. I didn’t have a lot of expectations coming into the gym. I first thought I was going to come & just use the gift card. I was expecting to experience mean trainers & coaches who are going to yell at you. I thought that I was not going to enjoy the classes, but I thought to myself “Why not give it a try?” When I came in, I found thatSouth Beach Boxing was the total complete opposite. It is extremely welcoming & the staff is extremely knowledgeable.

The trainers are ALWAYS here to help; nothing like what I expected. I have been coming here since February, so I have been a member for 3 months. What I got from coming here is stopping one of my worst bad habits; which is smoking cigarettes. Ever since I have been coming here I went from smoking a pack a day to not smoking at ALL. Well, I will be honest, I only smoked 2 cigarettes in the past two months; BUT this is such a milestone for me because I have been smoking for YEARS & it became a BAD habit. That has been one of the biggest things that I have gotten from South Beach Boxing; AND also, starting a really good routine. SBB has really changed my life. I enjoy coming here & I make it a priority. I make sure I go to bed early to get ready for the next day to come to SBB. My experience from coming here is that I feel anything is possible, as long as I put my mind to it. It is a sacrifice, but everything in life is a sacrifice. To anyone who has never been to SBB, I would like to let you know that I enjoy coming here ALL the time; & I want to continue enjoying it. Give it a try, you never know, maybe your life can be changed like mine. I didn’t think coming to a boxing gym would be for me, I am not a fighter & I have never gotten into any altercations EVER.

The whole thing here is that you are not being prepared to get into a fight, it is more about preparing for a fight within yourself; & every time you punch the bag you let go of the bad energy. My life after coming to SBB is a much healthier life, I see the results, & I want to get more out of myself. I want to continue building stamina & strength. I care about myself now & I treat my body like a temple. I am leaving ALL of my bad habits on the side. After a month I started seeing results in my body. Thank you Jolie & ALL of the trainer that helped me get to where I am now. Thank you for pushing me! Thank you to the staff for being so welcoming & the members here are so great. It is like a family here! Thank you South Beach Boxing!
