This gym works. I lost 20lbs in 6 weeks. The reason I came to South Beach Boxing was to look and feel better about myself. My goals were to lose weight and tone up and expected the classes to be hard and impossible for me to get to and to reach my goal in such a short period of time, but I was wrong. One thing you need to know about me is that I was never a gym person. It was hard for me to get up and say “I’m going to the gym today. “ To me it felt like too much work, not to mention having to go at least 4-5 times a week. But he classes and the instructors are phenomenal! After joining I feel great and get up and go without any hesitation about 5-6 times a week. What a major accomplishment and it feels even better to prove the people who didn’t believe in me…wrong! Also, the best part of South Beach Boxing is you cannot get bored. It’s like a giant playground. There are so many options from boxing/ kick boxing to cross training and cardio/weight machines if you like to tone up and yes, they have a boxing ring! Plus all the toys are available to me whenever I want. I can take a class or just workout on my own. How cool is that!?

The trainers and staff here at the South Beach Boxing encouraged me to not give up and to focus on my goal. My first class was hard and exhausting I’m not going to lie, but you feel great afterwards. Never have I sweat as much as I did in my first class. Loved it! They offered my friend to try out a free class for the first time so it made even more special for me. I was 149 lb when I started, body fat was 31% and now I’m 129 lb body fat 21% and still maintaining. Overall, I’m super happy with my results so far and not letting go of this is part of my life.


When I arrived in South Beach six years ago, I knew I wanted to join a gym. After looking around, my husband and I joined a local gym. After about a year, however, I realized it just wasn’t for me. I wanted more. I wanted a gym with boxing for sure and one where I felt welcomed and not just a number. I had just given birth to my daughter and was carrying around an extra 15-20 pounds. I took a few classes at South Beach and I was hooked. (In fact, I encouraged my husband to check it out, and after one class, we signed a contract and joined!)

I wasn’t sure what to expect when I first started. They gym wasn’t like something out of a Rocky movie. But it wasn’t a boutique either. It was just right – in the middle – serious and fun! The first thing I noticed was the instructors. Not only are they knowledgeable but they have a knack for teaching as well. They are not condescending but encouraging. Eventually, I found myself at the gym nearly every night!

After a year, I was getting into the best shape of my life. I was shedding pounds and gaining muscle. I was finding strength that I didn’t know I had. Even the little things in my life became easier – like outrunning a toddler or running a 5K. After a while, I became curious about taking it a step further. Soon I found myself sparring! This too was a wonderful experience. It was taking my fitness to a new level. This gave me confidence and I got even stronger. Again, the trainers were helpful and knowledgeable.

It’s been four years now that I’ve been at South Beach Boxing and I’ve found myself doing even more. Not only does South Beach Boxing offer boxing and Crossfit, they also offer Muay Thai. And, yes, I’ve been doing this now for about a year. This has been taking me to an even higher level of fitness. It’s made the gym a second family and I’ve found a great group of friends!

If you’re considering a gym and want to get in amazing shape, you should give South Beach Boxing a try. You don’t have to take it as far as I’ve taken it. You can do the awesome boxing classes that have great energy and atmosphere. There are great trainers and plenty of bags for everyone. If you are dedicated, it will make a difference in your life.


I was referred to South Beach Boxing by a friend and decided to try it out for fun. Right around the time when I decided to get active and get back in shape again, I accidentally found a flyer for South Beach Boxing on my windshield. South Beach Boxing is an excellent gym, training, and martial arts center. I’ve been to many gyms but none offer such diversity and camaraderie as South Beach Boxing. I guarantee they offer great trainers, staff, and friends. Definitely a place to come and sweat, not look pretty.


I’ve never enjoyed working out this much; I hate missing even one day! I always get a phenomenal workout from the friendly staff of professional boxers and trainers. This is a real gym , for real people that have a true desire to improve the way they look and feel. South Beach Boxing is definitely not your typical run of the mill gym!


Before I joined South Beach Boxing I was only lifting weights. I didn’t do any cardio because running on the treadmill was boring. Now because I can take the classes or hit the heavy bag on my own, I’ve gotten into the best shape of my life. I am leaner than I was in collage!


When I first came to South Beach Boxing I was a little intimidated but after the first class the trainers and staff had made me feel right at home. I joined in June of 2003 and since then I have gone from sitting on the couch to working out everyday. I have been a member of many different gyms in the past but going to South Beach Boxing doesn’t feel like a chore, it is fun and very inviting.


A friend convinced me to try South Beach Boxing gym some years ago. At the time, I had a serious weight problem and probably was in the worst physical shape of my life.After my first class there, I was hooked.Whether you are interested in losing those extra pounds, or seeking a more challenging level, South Beach Boxing is the place for you I have been a member for 4 years now, and have lost 46 pounds. More importantly, at 37, I am in better shape than I was 10 years ago!.


It’s true! South Beach Boxing gym isn’t your normal gym. The trainers are very personable and motivational. They make you want to workout and actually like it. I feel like I’m missing out if I don’y go workout. I would have to admit that it is the best gym I’ve ever been a member of.


This place goes way beyond my expectations!


I’ve never had rhythm until I started to workout at South Beach Boxing. Working out is now fun and it gives me the energy to start a new day full of enthusiasm. Since I’ve started my kickboxing skills have improved and I’ve lost a lot of weight without having to diet. I’ve been here in South Beach Boxing for 3 weeks, before that I was playing basketball in Flamingo Park 4 times a week. Because I was a heavy smoer before, it was too hard for me to run and play my games. After 3 weeks of training at South Beach Boxing, I played basketball again in the same place. It was unbelievable! I was running without stopping and no need to rest. I gained a lot of strength and endurance in such a short time! All I can say is come and try, like I did, and if after a month it does not work, FIND ME!

From the moment you step in, there is an energy like no other. Your staff really made me feel like “it’s ok” to be a beginner and made sure I was grasping the routines right as I hit the bag. It’s not only about dropping weight, but feeling exhilarated and toned!


I’m amazed of the strength and stamina I developed in such a short time (4 months). Weight isn’t my issue any more because every day I can see my muscles toning!


In Miami as a tourist, SBB was my other destination besides the beach, now as a resident it has become my second home.

My biggest regret of 2010 was not joining South Beach Boxing sooner! It has been the best decision I’ve made. i’m in better shape, have more energy, confidence and am stronger than I’ve ever been in years. I have lost almost 2 dress sizes and toned up in just the 4 short months I’ve been a member. Life had taken a rough turn for me. After a bad divorce, I really felt emotionally down. I had gotten out of shape and it was a real struggle to keep up with my kids when I played with them.

I started to train and run marathons and it just wasn’t working. I could run farther and farther but I wasn’t losing weight. Eventually 2 doctors told me I might need knee surgery and I knew I needed a big change.

I checked out all of the local gyms but when I got to South Beach boxing I knew I was in the right place. I immediately fell in love with the old school vibe here. I was looking for some emotional well-being and some stress relief and got so much more than that. I felt mentally sharper within 3 months and after 6 months I saw a real change in my physique. I was getting a lot of compliments and that always feels great.

The training here doesn’t just get you fit, it really does turn you into a boxer, if you want to go that route. I added sparring to my training and I learned a lot about myself. I loved the idea of being responsible for everything. No team to bail me out once I got in the ring. After training for 2 years I had my first exhibition fight. It was an awesome experience! Even after all this time I still get a rush when I get into class. And now I can outpace my kids on any day.

The trainers and staff really do care and have helped me reach my best physical and mental state. I would highly recommend South Beach Boxing to anyone that wants to be in a friendly, inspiring atmosphere. They will change your life!


I first came to South Beach Boxing for a serious & authentic boxing experience. My goals were to build endurance, tone, lose weight & shape the body I have always wanted.
What I expected is exactly what I got!


The trainers and staff encouraged me to push myself beyond physical and mental limits I had set for myself. They also offer moral support, constant motivation and continuous inspiration to keep going.

My results are over an 8 year span. I have lost close to 30 pounds and have successfully kept it off. I’ve built great endurance; not only physically, but mentally and emotionally too. My body has transformed in ways I’ve never imagined possible. As a result, I am encouraged to continue on this life long journey of health and fitness.

South Beach Boxing has become a 2nd home to me and one of the only places I can go to push myself further with each passing day.

Before South Beach Boxing I would always find excuses & reasons not to train. I use to see Jolie at the Miami Beach Chamber meetings talking about the gym & how awesome it was but I never got around to checking it out.

Even though I felt tired & sluggish, it took me 3 years to motivate myself to come in to try a class. The location of the gym was perfect for me and the staff was so friendly and helpful. I expected it to be intense and hard work, but I also thought like everything else, it would get boring. I have done other things to work out like spinning, but eventually they all get boring!

It turns out I was very wrong. No matter what class you take, they are always different. The first two weeks were rough. It’s only been a couple of months, but I see such a difference in my body. I’ve lost weight, my arms have toned up and tightened and I feel so much healthier.

My entire outlook on life has changed. I no longer eat meat and I am very conscious of everything I eat, no more steaks and fatty or sugary foods. It’s been a complete lifestyle change with the intensity of the exercise and the diet. It’s a much healthier road and one that I am happy to travel.

My staff at work have noticed a difference in my mental attitude, they tell me I’m nicer! Things that use to get under my skin no longer bother me.

This place is family orientated which you don’t get in most gyms. You walk up the stairs and everyone knows your name, it’s comfortable and familiar and a great place to work out!


I have always been athletic running, dancing, playing basketball but never thought of boxing. When I moved here I wanted to try something new and wanted to stay indoors, since I was bored being outside and a friend heard great things about South Beach Boxing and boxing for fitness in general. So she suggested I give it a try. I still thank her for the suggestion.

It had been a while since I worked out when I came and tried my first class with Ervin and loved the whole experience. I felt I wasn’t strong enough to do this but they showed me I could. It was and still is an amazing experience all around. Everyone was nice, the music was pumping and the energy was great. I knew I was going to learn something new every day. I signed up right after the class and started coming every day.

I thought I would get stronger and find a balance in my life. I just moved here and needed a second home, somewhere to meet people and feel comfortable. I didn’t see any results with my past workouts and needed to go somewhere and clear my mind and have a discipline/order to my life and see some results.

I’ve been coming for 2 years now and I feel great. I felt and saw results instantly in 2-3 months. I get to escape and have fun for an hour. I feel so great after a class. It’s hard to get motivated but I come here and get therapy and leave all my problems on the heavy bags and get renewed.

I feel the energy of everyone because we all have the same common goal, lose weight get stronger, learn something and feel great. I sleep great. I am aware and quick and can multitask like never before.

I see results all over my body. I was working as a nanny at the time and got strong enough to lift and carry that baby with no problem. And now I’m pregnant myself and continue taking the classes. My baby and I want this☺.


For 9 years, I did only yoga & I began to feel that I was losing strength and muscle tone. Someone suggested taking some boxing classes. I thought about it for about 6 months before I could get up the courage to come. I researched all the gyms in the area when I first moved here and I heard and saw great things about South Beach Boxing. I’m a little older and felt very intimidated about going to a boxing gym. I expected big egos and rough people and I was really scared, but I wanted a real gym.

It was the exact opposite!

Everyone was so nice from the moment I walked in. The staff welcomed me with big smiles and made me feel at home and the members were so cool, everyone was so nice.

The trainers are so passionate; they really care and love what they do. It makes you feel great about yourself, I just love it here.

Initially I started with boxing then eventually I got into Muay Thai. I use to be a dancer and I discovered that it was like dancing, it’s so technical and challenging.

I’ve gained confidence; I overcame my fears and started doing sparing. It helps you to feel stronger and more able to overcome challenges in life

It’s been almost 2 years since I first came and I have never looked back.

It took about 3 months to notice changes. I began getting the kicks and having the alignment and started coming more and more, my cardio has improved so much.

This place is non judgmental, it not only gets you in shape, you learn a lot of skills and it’s fun!

My life has completely changed: I have more confidence and feel stronger, healthier, and more energetic. This is like reverse aging for me, I feel younger. Win, win all the way around!


Before South Beach Boxing I was all over the place. I never honored my word, I was unorganized, and I was in a bad place mentally. I wasn’t the best me, I had bad grades & Jolie saw something in me and helped me.
My sister used to come here and I always wanted to come in, but I couldn’t afford it. I was only 11 years old when my sister was at the gym.

One day, I went to the hospital and I was really in a dark place in my life. I also had a problem with authority at my school. Jolie came to my school promoting Jolie’s Kids, She heard about what happened to me and we talked. It was AMAZING to know that an adult was on my side, Jolie actually listened to me.

I have been coming here for 11 months. Now I love being active, I am so much more motivated to get good grades because I always have the program on the line and of course Jolie. If it wasn’t for her I wouldn’t be who I am today. Obviously no one wants to come to gym and work out and now because of my new found integrity I do it and I feel amazing afterwards. I also had my biggest milestone’s here so the gym is very special to me.

Boxing is great and you are always moving and there is always great energy here. South Beach Boxing is dope and there is no other gym like this one. I feel like my life is great after South Beach Boxing & Jolie. I also have a better relationship with my mom. It took a couple of months for me to change. The gym really helped me with everything.

After our wedding, we wanted something to do to find an activity to do together and we couldn’t have found anything better.

We were always athletic and thought we were fit when we first came here, but as it turned out we were not fit at all. We weren’t conditioned and boy did we get it.

From the moment we walked in, we knew that South Beach Boxing was for us. The atmosphere is great! It’s not pretentious and is very welcoming. The trainers are friendly, knowledgeable and encouraging. It was only 2 weeks before we started feeling this was our second home.

Once we tried our first class, we were hooked! And the price was right so we made our decision on the spot. We started seeing results right away. We’ve learned skills, mentally and physically. We’ve gotten toned, gained muscle and developed self-defense skills. But most importantly we’ve gained the confidence to conquer anything. We have found something we enjoyed doing together as a couple. It’s been almost 2 years now, and this surpasses any workout we’ve ever done.
