When I first came to South Beach Boxing I was just ok physically, but I wanted to be fit and be challenged with something foreign to me. I had some fear of boxing and getting hit but I came to better myself. My goal was to be a good boxer, not professionally, just be good at boxing and conquer some fears along the way.
It took me a few years to get here because I was curious but it looked very intense and intimidating and wasn’t sure if l could do it. I expected it to be hard and challenging and take a long time to learn. Right away the trainers encouraged me and I began to grow. I felt a change the 1st month, mentally and physically stronger, and healthier. It’s been 3 years and l’ve learned so much about myself. learned that I can do so much more than I thought and I can surprise myself and each day I get a chance to do better. South Beach Boxing is a great place with positive energy and I meet people from all over the world. We have fun. The Instructors push you and pay attention to everyone and encourage and correct you so you can improve and the classes and trainers are all so different.
I have so much more confidence and that was my biggest thing. I now feel stronger and determined to succeed in everything in life. Boxing strengthens me from the inside and keeps me physically and mentally fit. I’m always learning something new. I get to relieve my stress and challenge myself every day, and face my fears, and push my limits. When you are challenged you grow; and when you grow, you’re happier. I’m so happy to have found South Beach Boxing and even happier with all that I have become. What you do in the gym carries outside of the gym into all areas of your life. –
