Jolie Glassman is a natural born teacher – though her life didn’t start out this way. As a kid, Jolie was an overachiever and a natural straight A student, but she was not athletic. At a young age, Jolie was always last in physical education classes and would then be forced to run an extra lap. Though she didn’t like this at the time, her resistance eventually turned into strength, and the start of the Jolie Glassman who created South Beach Boxing.
At just 16 years old, Jolie got certified to teach aerobics and spinning. Jolie was advanced throughout her high school and college years, and in an effort to move quickly into her passion, she applied for a program called F.O.C.U.S. (For Our Children In Urban Settings), which included a Masters in Behavior Modification – Jolie got accepted and excitedly moved on with the program, knowing that she found her calling.
Jolie lives by the quote from Jim Rohn, “WORK HARDER ON YOURSELF THAN YOU DO ON YOUR JOB & LIFE BECOMES EASIER.” Through her 25+ years of teaching, she has taken many certifications and courses in the coaching, leading, teaching, motivating, behavior modification, transforming, inspiring, selling, negotiating, and personal development fields. She has also won many awards and recognitions throughout her years.
Through many trials and tribulations over the years, Jolie stayed a fighter. Today, she shares her go-getter attitude in a place that she likes to say “is a safe place to share; transformation happens in the sharing.” South Beach Boxing was born out of a woman with a mission to take control of her own attitude and teach others how to do the same.
